Outstanding Doctor and Staff - It was easy to schedule an appointment with Dr. Knapps. There is a patient portal to review your record and test results. His staff was professional and friendly. SIMPLY WONDERFUL - Husband had not been feeling well and not eating like usual. Started having abdominal pain. Could not get into family practice and ended up at Methodist ER. After quick tests and results on an overcrowded ER, we were told he had a cute appendicitis and needs surgery ASAP. Nurse came over and brought us up for surgery and who was on call???? The wonderful Dr. Knapps. We were told by all the nurses we were super lucky as he is the best. He was kind, funny and caring. He explained the procedure and put us at ease. Highly recommend!!!!!! - Dr. Knapps is absolutely amazing!! I was referred to him a couple of years ago for a cancer recurrence that required surgery. Fast forward (and 2 more successful surgeries later) to now- my last visit with Dr. Knapps was yesterday- so thankful to him for not only literally saving my life, but for being so caring to me and my husband through everything!! Awesome Doctor - I was referred to Dr. Knapps by my PCP after multiple months of concerns with a possible hemorrhoid. After the first visit, Dr. Knapps explained that the issue appeared to be a fistula and not a hemorrhoid as originally expected. He went on to explain what a fistula is and symptoms which totally aligned with what I was experiencing. A surgery was scheduled at Houston Methodist, The Woodlands where I had a great experience with him and the whole care team. I would highly recommend Dr. Knapps for any colorectal issues.One additional thing I would like to mention is that he is fully bilingual in Spanish and English which contributed to a positive experience. Come prepared to wait beyond your scheduled time this practice was running easily an hour behind and unfortunately I had a nine month old baby I brought with me. Hubby had to work, they did take me pretty soon after I complained but baby fell asleep on me in the office. Doctor was great though very considerate, kind and even offered to help get the door etc since I had the stroller. I’d recommend this doctor. I’d also advise plan to spend significant time there. They tell you to arrive twenty minutes before your scheduled time. So,.. I was a bit irritated as I’d not planned on a two plus hour ordeal. It was about an hour and a half from when I arrived promptly before I was seen and then a good twenty minutes with the physician so it was a two hour quest. Not what I’d planned for. More

Surgery got an Ileostomy - I went to visit dr knapps not knowing if he would help me on a problem I already had . He went straight out to help me not being afraid I had fishlas and a botched colon surgery from a different doctor. With in a month he scheduled surgery and did a wonderful job helping me and did an Ileostomy cleaning me out getting rid of the Abscess and tube bag that I had. He is very professional and there to make sure you are taken care of . The best surgeon who was not Afraid to help me out when no other surgeon wanted to do my surgery. More

Since, he has been his surgeon for the next steps of his recovery and future surgeries. He just completed my husband’s second surgery and really takes the time to make sure we are confident in his decisions and his work. He really cares about his patients and how they are feeling. Even though my husband’s surgeries have been extensive, he gets relief knowing Dr. Knapps will always be a friendly face to see during and after. I think that has really made a difference in his recovery. More
